Japanese Garden, Seattle

I recently had the chance to visit Seattle for a conference and one of my must-go places was the Japanese Garden at the Washington Park Arboretum. I really wanted to visit a park while I was there and photos of it online made it seem like a great choice, and it totally was!

I took so many photos it’s kind of ridiculous, but here are some just from the Japanese Garden which is located in the park, but has a separate $6 per person fee. I’m so glad I got to visit the park in spring and see all these amazing and fresh colors. My friend who lives in Seattle had never even visited the park and we were all impressed with its splendor.

It is a 3 and a 1/2 acre formal garden designed and constructed under the supervision of world-renowned Japanese garden designer Juki Iida in 1960.
