In April I finally had the chance to visit Seattle & during the trip we made sure to make a stop at the Chihuly Garden & Glass exhibit at the Seattle Center. The Space Needle is located right next to the garden, so it gives it a nice backdrop. It was $23 per person which is a little steep because the exhibit isn’t that big, but if you enjoy Dale Chihuly’s works it’s well worth the price. They also had educational demonstrations about glass which was entertaining, though hard to see because there were many people watching so I mostly tried to just take in the art instead.
I’ve loved Chihuly’s work ever since first seeing it in the lobby of the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. The vivid colors of the glass art work are so enveloping and striking. It’s like being swallowed by bright colors for a few minutes at a time.
In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Vivid.”
Great shots. Really capture the theme.

That’s some fantastic work there. We’re talking some major hours. Nice interpretations as well. I particularly liked the Medusa at the foot of the Space Needle and your far-away shots. Nice job. I can’t get anyone’s LIKE buttons to work for some reason, otherwise, I would have Liked you back. Thanks for visiting my Muse.
