Living in Colorado, snow is the “on-season” in the mountains for all the snow activities and all, but I’m not much of a snow activity type… so I prefer the warm off-season summer time in the mountains.
Last August we made a trek to the mountains and had planned for some off road adventure, however we had some car trouble and ended up spending the day in Frisco, Colorado. Frisco is on the way to Breckenridge so I’m guessing it is much more popular during snow time.
In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Off-Season.”
Gorgeous skies in your pics. I skipped over to mapquest and discovered that I had driven past Frisco on I-70, but never visited (stopped in Dillon instead). Maybe next time. The sausages look great!

Thanks! It was a lovely weekend. It was my first stop in Frisco as well 🙂

Colorado, at least the western side, is amongh the most beautiful places on earth to visit, if you like mountains. I also prefer the summer mountains—used to enjoy hiking in them when I lived in Utah. Now I’m in Missouri, and, alas! there are no mountains—lots of pretty rolling landscapes, but nothing that really “sticks out” at you. Consider this a LIKE, as I can’t get anyone’s LIKE buttons to work.

I agree, the mountains here are amazing, but I would love to see more of the country when I get a chance 🙂
